It can be very hard these days to find businesses that are honest and fair. Progressive is one of those rare finds. I brought my 42 Beneteau to Progressive after a horrendous experience at another yard. The owner, Dan, is very upfront about pricing and the job was very professional. I was out of town and unable to make it to the yard to check on progress, but I received pics and updates during that time. If you are looking around for boat repairs, give them a call. You will not be disappointed.

I own a Sea Ray 450 Sundancer. My diver had mentioned about maybe getting my bottom painted soon. I scheduled an appointment at Progressive boat yard on my marina's recommendation. My bottom was WAY worse than I had thought. I did receive all prices upfront, and they stuck to the estimate. Great work.

I wouldn't go anywhere else. quality work, time after time. I know when I come in and get a price, that's the price I'll pay. I've been a boat owner for 30 plus years and they have the best bottom jobs I've ever seen.

I was way overdue on a bottom job for my 40' sportsfisherman. I brought the boat in for an estimate. the guys in the yard and the owner knew a lot about what they could do to make my boat look almost brand new. Very accurate estimate. No scares at the end. Will def be back.

We needed some mechanic work and a fresh coat of paint on our boat. We came across progressive online. We stopped by to see if this was a trustworthy yard. Even by just explaining my problems to the mechanic, he was able to give me an explanation of the work that could be expected. The bottom job price is a great deal. I feel like this yard was fair priced. They were very upfront with prices, and anything that came up, they called to let me know the price. I will be coming back and telling all of my friends.

I own a 50' Cruisers Yacht, and I have been coming to Progressive for years. Time after time, they produce quality work, whether its bottom painting, fiberglass, mechanic work, etc. Very fair pricing. Do yourself a favor, and check them out for your next haul.

I just purchased my retirement boat, a 45' Defever. I had it hauled at Progressive for the survey. I was impressed with the upfront pricing and quick service on work I decided to have done there. The bottom paint was done in about a week. I had some thru hulls replaced. Reasonable prices.

Progressive. I took my boat in for some fiberglass repair. I had some gel coat gouges that I finally was getting around to fixing. I figured while it was on the dry, I would have my Mercruiser engines serviced too. When I picked SeaNile, she was perfect. You couldn't even tell there were scratches on the boat before. And the engines, WHOA. It is crazy what just a simple oil change can do for you speed. (Hope it doesn't get me in trouble!) I will be back to Progressive for any and all of my boat repairs.

Finally, a decent boat yard!. I have been trying to find a decent boat yard in the area. I had tried several and was searching for a good deal. I opted for their bottom job special. About $30/ft and Pettit paint. I'm not sure about the other work, but if the bottom job price is any indication of the other costs it is definitely worth it.

Great Quality for an even better price. I have been bringing my boats( 50' carver & 19' boston whaler) here for years. I've brought several of my friends here. Dan (the owner) knows his stuff. If any problems pop up, hes quick to send pics. Very trustworthy.

JayH58 - 5 StarsDan's great! I've been coming here for about 7 years. My 40' Formula has her bottom job done here. I've also gotten some engine work and gel coat repair done here too. Always a fair price. I'm in Sarasota, and by water, the trip is fairly short. This is the place to be.

I came here on a recommendation from a family friend. As a new boat owner, I was a little wary of where to take my boat. The owner really made me feel comfortable, gave me costs up front. Their yard was pretty full, but they made sure I got it within my deadline. Will def come back for anything.

Jeanette and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the tremendous job you did on the maintenance and upgrade work you recently completed on our boat.

First, the bottom job.  You had painted the bottom on our previous boat.  After 5 years, our diver told us that the bottom was still in quite good shape and that we should consider having it painted again.  We sold the boat and we understand that it went for another year before painting.  The recent bottom job on our current boat was a "complete" job from sandblasting to paint.  After launch, we found that our displacement cruise speed was increased between 1& 1 1/2 knots.  While we don't expect to get anywhere near the life we saw on the previous boat, we are very happy with the results we've seen.  Eddie did a great job on the bottom.

The fiberglass work on the various nicks and gouges, and the major repairs to hatch covers is outstanding, with perfect color match.

The modifications to the swim platform to provide a boarding step with storage blends perfectly with the design of the boat and the quality of the work is excellent.  The rest of the modifications, updating the rub rail, relocation of the aft deck shower and water and tv inlets look like factory installations.  Mike is the best we've ever had work on our boat.

The mechanical work was well done and the boat has run perfectly.  We appreciate the checkout of all of the mechanical systems which Bill performed so we could leave on our extended cruise without worries.

We appreciate very much the design that you and your subcontractor did on the aft deck cover.  We have had many complements on the appearance, with comments that it must have been a Factory installed option.   The fabrication is excellent.

Thank you once again for the excellent work.

Roger & Jeanette Erb

All too often in this day and age we are too quick to criticize when something does not work out as we had hoped, but we don't take the time to write when we have received excellent and very professional service. I wanted to take this means to commend you and the whole staff at Progressive for the superb work you did on my vessel "RIMA" when she was hauled at your yard on June 13, 2011.
Although our initial costs were modified by the condition of the hull when hauled and required a complete refinishing of the bottom, replacement of two cutlass bearings, removal of two sea cocks and the replacement of another, it count' have been done by a more professional crew with great expertise! The consideration you extended on the additional cost in the sanding of the hull was very much appreciated by us, and the fact that you did not charge us "laydays" was also a plus. Progressive is a yard I have already recommended to several friends who have boats, and one who will bring his 54' Navigator Pilothouse down from New England this fall.
I have had a diver check the vessel and there is no evidence of any slime, fouling, or marine growth of anytime. You can rest assured that any future work we have done on "RIMA" will be done at Progressive.
Again, my personal thanks for the excellent work done on "RIMA". She now looks as good below the water as she does above and we are very pleased with the performance.
Sincerely,
Robert K. Volk, Jr.
